A contractor was in the process of renovating a bathroom in a residential home and discovered large amounts of moisture in the walls and on the electrical conduit. When they looked in the attic, they discovered that the bathroom vents were not properly connected, and the rafter baffles were blocked off with insulation, not allowing proper ventilation of the attic area. It is not uncommon in the wintertime that you get large amounts of condensation on the underside of the plywood when your roof is not properly ventilated. Installed below is a HEPA air scrubber rental, used as a negative air machine rental, vented to the outdoors through a roof vent to prevent the chemical smell from entering the home. Porta-Air received a call requesting Temporary Heat Rentals for a location in Will County, IL. The RTU furnace heat exchanger was damaged and needed replacement. We installed two 1.5-ton Climate Pro heat pump units in two locations. The ceiling in the space was 14 feet high, so added care was taken when installing the discharge ductwork.
