Three 5-ton OP60’s portable coolers were installed in a large barn for a wedding reception in July of 2024. Electrical interface from the electrical box to the 3 large portable 5-ton rental units was the biggest challenge. The main electrical distribution panels were located on the ground level of the barn. Since there was a large, ramped driveway to the 2nd floor of the barn, loading and unloading of the equipment was relativity easy. We received a phone call shortly after a heat wave blanketed our area in the western suburb of Hoffman Estates. When the RTU on the roof was deemed unrepairable due to its age, we arrived to evaluate temporary cooling solutions.
